(A) PROJECT TIMELINE
14-31 July : Members to submit venue proposals
1-10 Aug : Compile venue proposals
11-24 Aug : Selection (by voting) commences
25 Aug – 7 Sept : Organizing Committee will count no. of votes.
8-14 Sept : Announcement of Final Venue
15 Sept – 19 Oct : Break
10 Oct – 21 Feb 200 : Reunion Day Preparations.
1 Feb 2009 : Final Reminder to All on Reunion Day.
21 Feb 2009 : The DAY – Reunion Day.
(B) SELECTION CRITEREA
- Good tasty Food
- Enough space to accommodate us all, comfortably
- Air-conditioning or at least cool
- Convenient parking
- Excellent facilities to suit our event programme e.g. music, golf, restroom, surau etc
- Meets our budget of RM50 per person, excluding sponsors (if any)
(C) OTHER BITS OF INFORMATION
Nasaruddin Dahlan
Nasa has suggested Kolej Tuaku Jaafar as a venue It is an international boarding school in Mantin. The college would be a good place to hold the reunion since it’s a school and we could do stuff we used to do. The golfers could also jump the fence and play a few rounds next door. To be held during our July school holidays.
Be Generous (for those who can)
One person’s small change may be another person’s monthly income. Maybe you can put a minimum amount, and those who wish to contribute more, are very much welcomed. Sponsor(s) are welcome
Preferred Location
Location tu I think best is KL. Kalau outdoors tu tak apa, tapi don’t have it during monsoon season. And to me lah, don’t have it for too long. Setakat dari lepas Zuhor to lepas Asar.
No 5-star hotels
KL Tower
KL Tower since Datuk zul is the CEO. Other that celebrating it sky high, we cud do other stuff there as well like the jungle trail, fly fox and also explorace kindda thing. . That is if we do not want to stay overnight.
Informal is Good
Of the few reunions I’ve attended, the one at carcosa stood out from the rest coz to me it captured the essence of a reunion, i.e. an informal affair that allows maximum interaction in a relax environment – so go easy on the “official/formal” programme. What essentially would happen is people will just break into groups and chat, thus would be great to fashion the reunion in that manner
